Costumes – Norwegian
We usually perform a program of dances from the four Scandinavian countries in Norwegian costumes. As in many other countries, the costumes vary from region to region. Traditional bunads are a very important cultural symbol to many Norwegians who believe that a bunad should not be worn by a woman who is not from that town. The women in our group wear what is known as an everyday bunad or stakk.
