Costumes – Israeli

Traditional Israeli costumes balance religious symbolism and practicality.  The costumes are typically simple with a bit of decorative trim, but images of actual objects are never displayed to avoid breaking the commandment against creating a “graven image.”  Full skirts and loose shirts and pants allow for air movement and freedom of movement.
