SIFD is a resident organization of

2010 Introductory Classes

Through a partnership with Lincoln Land Community College Community Learning, SIFD is offering a series of introductory classes designed to teach basic folk dance skills from around the world. Students will learn dance steps, technique, international dance vocabulary and will gain a greater understanding of world cultures.  Click here for the course syllabus.

When – 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month, 7-8 pm (except where noted)

Where – Hoogland Center for the Arts, 420 South 6th St. in Springfield, IL

Who – Anyone in high school or older. Partners not required.

Cost – $18 for 1 month (2 classes), $48 for 3 months (6 classes), $168 for 12 months (24 classes)

Please wear comfortable clothes and supportive shoes (leather soles preferred).
