The Springfield International Folk Dancers (SIFD) strongly believes in the idea that folk dancing is for everyone. We celebrate world cultures and strive to preserve each culture’s unique heritage through learning about their traditions and sharing them with our local community.
NEW for 2010 – Introductory Classes – Through a partnership with Lincoln Land Community College Community Learning, SIFD is offering a series of introductory classes designed to teach basic folk dance skills from around the world. Students will learn dance steps, technique, international dance vocabulary and will gain a greater understanding of world cultures. Click here for more information.
